Amanda Longacre, OTD was raised in Roanoke, VA with her two older brothers and many furry friends. In her youth, she enjoyed playing softball, riding horses, and playing video games with her brothers. During her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, going on hikes, and playing pickleball with her wife.
All throughout school, her favorite subject was science, and she had a passion for figuring out how things work. This passion led her to complete a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and minor in Pre-Occupational Therapy. She then moved to Saint Augustine, FL to complete her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Her doctorate project was focused on advocating for and providing mental health services to minority groups in Jacksonville, FL.
